0,03 SECONDE is an incisive look into the world of elite sports; a world in which talent, passion and suffering mean everything, yet do not provide a guarantee for success. A fraction of a second can mean the difference between victory and defeat.

The documentary follows five Dutch swimmers in the build-up to the Olympics in Rio. Only two of them will win an Olympic medal. Yet they all train very hard. How does that influence their lives? Hoe important, and fragile, is the relation with their coach? What is the impact of winning? And losing?
