One of the most talked-about films at this year’s Cannes, TONI ERDMANN is an alternately hilarious and mortifying comedy about the fraught relationship between a repressed corporate consultant and her incessantly prank-playing dad.

Winfried is a retired piano teacher, a divorcee who delights in persistent pranks and impersonations. Over the years he has become alienated from his daughter, Ines, a high-ranking management consultant in Bucharest who is as controlled and rigid as her father is impish. During a surprise visit to Bucharest, practical joker Winfried disguises himself as flashy 'Toni Erdmann' to get busy Ines' attention and change her corporate lifestyle. The father-daughter challenge reaches absurd proportions until Ines begins to see that her eccentric father deserves a place in her life.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS FILM IS IN GERMAN, ENGLISH AND ROMANIAN, WITH DUTCH SUBTITLES.
